John 8:31-32

If you continue in my word, then you are my disciples indeed. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

你們如果住在我的話語中，就真是我的門徒了， 並且你們將明白真理，而真理將使你們自由。

“Kung patuloy kayong susunod sa aking turo, kayo nga'y tunay na mga alagad ko.  Makikilala ninyo ang katotohanan, at ang katotohanan ang magpapalaya sa inyo.”

如果有人想要來跟從我，他就當否定自己，天天[a]背起自己的十字架，然後跟從我。

Ang sinumang nagnanais sumunod sa akin ay kinakailangang itakwil ang kanyang sarili, pasanin araw-araw ang kanyang krus, at sumunod sa akin.

Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

你要努力地向神顯明自己是經過考驗的，是無愧的工人，能正確分解真理的話語。

Sikapin mong maging kalugud-lugod sa paningin ng Diyos, isang manggagawang walang dapat ikahiya at tama ang paggamit sa salita ng katotohanan.

If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself, take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it.

Mark 8:34-35

If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.  For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it.

如果有人想要跟從我，他就當捨棄自己，背起自己的十字架，然後跟從我。  因為凡想要保全自己生命的，將失去生命；凡為我和福音的緣故失去自己生命的，將保全生命。

A new command I give you: Love one another.  As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 

By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.

我給你們一條新的命令：就是要你們彼此相愛，就如我愛你們，為要使你們也彼此相愛。 ³⁵ 如果你們彼此之間有了愛，眾人從這一點就會知道你們是我的門徒了。

Isang bagong utos ang ibinibigay ko sa inyo ngayon, mag-ibigan kayo! Kung paano ko kayong inibig, gayundin naman, mag-ibigan kayo.  Kung kayo’y mag-iibigan, makikilala ng lahat na kayo’y mga alagad ko.
