1 John 3:16 & 18

¹⁶This is how we know what love is:

Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.

¹⁸Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue, but with actions and in truth.

John 16:33

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.  In this world you will have trouble.  But take heart! I have overcome the world.

 我把這些事告訴了你們，好讓你們在我裡面有平安。在世上你們有患難，然而你們要鼓起勇氣！我已經勝過了這世界。

Sinabi ko ito sa inyo upang kayo’y magkaroon ng kapayapaan sa pakikipag-isa sa akin.  Magdaranas kayo ng kapighatian sa mundong ito, ngunit tibayan ninyo ang inyong loob! Napagtagumpayan ko na ang sanlibutan!

John 13:34-35

A new command I give you: Love one another.  As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 

By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.

我給你們一條新的命令：就是要你們彼此相愛，就如我愛你們，為要使你們也彼此相愛。 ³⁵ 如果你們彼此之間有了愛，眾人從這一點就會知道你們是我的門徒了。

Isang bagong utos ang ibinibigay ko sa inyo ngayon, mag-ibigan kayo! Kung paano ko kayong inibig, gayundin naman, mag-ibigan kayo.  Kung kayo’y mag-iibigan, makikilala ng lahat na kayo’y mga alagad ko.

John 8:31-32

If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

你們如果住在我的話語中，就真是我的門徒了，  並且你們將明白真理，而真理將使你們自由。

Kung patuloy kayong susunod sa aking aral, tunay ngang kayo’y mga alagad ko; makikilala ninyo ang katotohanan, at ang katotohanan ang magpapalaya sa inyo.
