Luke 4:18-19 The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach the good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor. 主 的 靈 在 我 身 上 ， 因 為 他 用 膏 膏 我 ， 叫 我 傳 福 音 給 貧 窮 的 人 ； 差 遣 我 報 告 ： 被 擄 的 得 釋 放 ， 瞎 眼 的 得 看 見 ， 叫 那 受 壓 制 的 得 自 由 ， 報 告 神 悅 納 人 的 禧 年 。 Ang Espiritu ng Panginoon ay sumasaakin, sapagkat hinirang niya ako upang ipangaral sa mga mahihirap ang Magandang Balita. Isinugo niya ako upang ipahayag sa mga bihag na sila'y lalaya, at sa mga bulag na sila'y makakakita. Isinugo ako upang palayain ang mga inaapi, at upang ipahayag ang panahon ng pagliligtas ng Panginoon.

James 4:7-8a Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. 故 此 ， 你 們 要 順 服 神 。 務 要 抵 擋 魔 鬼 ， 魔 鬼 就 必 離 開 你 們 逃 跑 了 。你 們 親 近 神 ， 神 就 必 親 近 你 們 。 Ipasakop nga ninyo ang inyong mga sarili sa Diyos. Labanan ninyo ang diyablo at siya ay lalayo sa inyo. Magsilapit kayo sa Diyos at siya ay lalapit sa inyo.

1 Peter 4:19 So, then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good. 所 以 ， 那 照 神 旨 意 受 苦 的 人 要 一 心 為 善 ， 將 自 己 靈 魂 交 與 那 信 實 的 造 化 之 主 。 Kaya nga ang mga nagdurusa dahil sa pagsunod sa kalooban ng Diyos ay dapat ipagkatiwala ang kanilang sarili sa tapat na lumikha at magpatuloy sa paggawa ng mabuti.
