Joshua 24:15 But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve… but as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord. 若 是 你 們 以 事 奉 耶 和 華 為 不 好 ， 今 日 就 可 以 選 擇 所 要 事 奉 的 ... 至 於 我 和 我 家 ， 我 們 必 定 事 奉 耶 和 華 。 At kung ayaw ninyong maglingkod kay Yahweh, pumili kayo ngayon kung sino ang inyong paglilingkuran...Ngunit para sa akin at sa aking sambahayan, kay Yahweh kami maglilingkod.

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. 你 們 當 剛 強 壯 膽 ， 不 要 害 怕 ， 也 不 要 畏 懼 他 們 ， 因 為 耶 和 華 ─ 你 的 神 和 你 同 去 。 祂 必 不 撇 下 你 ， 也 不 丟 棄 你 。 Magpakatatag kayo at lakasan ninyo ang inyong loob. Huwag kayong matakot sa kanila sapagkat sasamahan kayo ni Yahweh na inyong Diyos. Hindi niya kayo iiwan ni pababayaan man.
